Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust

Created in April 2006, following the merger of County Durham and Darlington Priority Services NHS Trust and Tees and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust.

In July 2008 we became the North East's first mental health trust to achieve foundation trust status under the NHS Act 2006. As a foundation trust we are accountable to local people through our council of governors and are regulated by Monitor, the independent regulator of foundation trusts.

We provide a range of mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services for the 1.3 million people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley and the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale areas of North Yorkshire.

With 5,000 staff (73% female and 27% male) and an annual income of £220m we deliver our services by working in partnership with seven local authorities and primary care trusts, a wide range of voluntary organizations, as well as service users, their carers and the public.

The services are spread over a wide geographical area which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas areas.

Tree Appeal

Tree Appeal

Tree Appeal plant trees to promote biodiversity, create habitats and improve the environment for people.

The trees are paid for by our Corporate Partners - businesses that want to make a positive contribution to the environment. We know that responsible organisations are already doing what they can to help the environment - recycling, reducing waste, reducing energy use.

Tree Appeal can help them to take a step further by making a positive contribution to natural woodland habitats - both locally and nationally.

Teesdale Wellness Care

Recurring muscle and joint problems can be caused by your body cleverly compensating for stresses in more important tissues such as organs, nerves of arteries nearby.  Until appropriate structures below are treated, the symptoms may return so through specific body listening techniques the true root of the problem can be identified.

Sometimes health issues are not caused physically but by food sensitivities, deficiencies, toxicity or emotional stresses.  With the complementary fusion of therapies offered, your natural health needs can be fulfilled.
